Grendel & Billy
You guys are really deadicated listing the shows for each song.

Help>Slip>Franklin 8.13.75
Box of Rain- The Dinosaurs "I do not know the date"
B.E.WOMEN from Madison 73
Blow Away-Jfk Philly
Ripple>Brokedown, Operator 8-18-70
To lay me down, Playin 9-18-74
Valley Road 12-13-90

Hey Grendel,
I really thought this post was going to own the board tonight but I think i know what happened. There are probably a whole bunch of folks right now as we speak who went off and started picking out songs for this thread but have probably gotten lost. I did not put anything pre-1970 because i knew if i ventured there i would not return.

You're probably right!

It's hard to stop once you get started, and once the list is made you go back and say things like "how could I have forgotten a Sugaree?" and the like--as a few have already remarked here.

I had an ulterior motive, too, for providing this list, and that's to get an instant "best of" listing from others...cuz the idea is that whatever version you add is going to be a stellar one! So now i'm going to go back and check out the Sugaree listed above, the other Jack Straw (although how one could be better than 10/29/77 I don't know ;-) and others...

also, i'll be submitting alternate "dream 1st set lists" with all completely different tunes soon! why? Same reason people climb mountains, I guess ;-)
